Russell Memorial Golf Course
Russell Memorial Golf Course is found along the Post Rock Scenic Byway. Over the Smoky Hills of weathered bedrock, the Post Rock Scenic Byway winds through fields, pastures, and prairie. The landscape's unique beauty and challenges required pioneers to earn their space here. And the legacy of their creativity and resourcefulness lives on. Just look at the stone fence posts for which this route was named - as functional as the day they were erected. Today, that same innovative spirit has given rise to many independently minded artists, farmers, and ranchers in the region.

The Dream Theatre
Step into The Dream Theatre in Russell, Kansas, and experience movie magic in a stunning 1949 Art Deco masterpiece designed by the legendary Boller Brothers architectural firm. This 425-seat theater literally rose from the ashes after a devastating 1947 fire destroyed its predecessor, and when it faced closure in 2000, passionate community volunteers rallied to save it with the "Keep the Dream Alive" campaign. Today, this National Register of Historic Places treasure operates Friday through Sunday nights, staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers who take movie requests and create a warm, intimate cinema experience you simply can't find at modern multiplexes. Whether you're a film buff, history enthusiast, or simply seeking authentic small-town charm, the Dream Theatre offers a uniquely nostalgic way to enjoy the latest movies in a venue where every screening feels like a special community event.
